How do we check into our cabin?

  • Check-in begins after 4 p.m.
  • Use the Guest Portal on your smartphone
  • Once your cabin is clean, the portal provides your entry codes
  • Cabins with physical keys require returning the key to the home’s lockbox at departure

No. The area operates year-round. Only Dollywood (and occasional shows) close temporarily after New Years until early March.

What is the weather like in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg?

Expect all four seasons:

  • Spring: mild; arrives in April
  • Summer: hot, 80’s & 90s; afternoon storms common, especially in the GSMNP
  • Fall: mild - cool; peak foliage mid–late October
  • Winter: snow possible Nov–Mar

High elevations in the GSMNP experience much colder, Canadian-like conditions. The Smokies are a temperate rainforest, so rainfall is frequent.

Do I need a special license to fish in the National Park?

You need a regular Tennessee or North Carolina fishing license, valid on both sides of the park.
